WHO WE ARE
Tour Tech Golf is owned and run by PGA Professional Joe Ferguson.
Joe has extensive experience within the industry as a player, coach, fitter and club builder. A former England international and multiple PGA event winner, Joe qualified in the top ten in GB & Ireland from the PGA Training Academy before taking up the role of Head PGA Professional at Ryder Cup venue The Celtic Manor Resort where he ran the National Custom Fitting Centres for both Taylormade and Titleist.
Tour Tech Golf is the culmination of years of playing, custom fitting, club building and coaching experience and brings a usually tour only standard of technology and expertise to the consumer market of the South West.
THE WORKSHOP
One of the things that sets Tour Tech Golf apart is the Tour standard workshop which allows us to analyse, alter and build clubs to a zero tolerance standard only usually available to tour players.
Some of the equipment we have at our disposal includes:
- MR3 True blue loft and lie machine (as used on the tour vans of Taylormade, Callaway and numerous other OEM’s). Allows us to measure exact loft and lie angles of not only irons but also of Drivers, fairways and hybrids too!
- Auditor Evolution Digital Putter Loft and Lie bending gauge – allowing digital measurement to within .1 of a degree on any putter
- Auditor Professional Digital Swingweight scale – allowing digital measurement of swingweigth and total weight to within .1 of a swingweight and .1 of a gram
- Auditor Digital Shaft frequency analyser – measures the precise CPM (cycles per minute) of any shaft providing an EXACT flex profile number rather than the standard “STIFF” or “REGULAR”
Aside from all of the regular club repair/adjustment work that would normally be available from most Pro shops, at Tour Tech Golf we also offer an extensive range of services only normally available to Tour Professionals such as:
- Custom Wedge grinding
- Hot Melting
- Swingweight adjustments

The Putt Lab – Devon is one of the UK’s most comprehensive specialist putting coaching and custom fitting facilities.
Our CAPTO Putting analysis system monitors over 50 parameters from dynamic loft and face rotation all the way through to grip tension and hand trembling to provide the most detailed technique analysis in the game. In The Putt Lab we also utilise a unique interchangeable shaft, grip and head system which allows us to try the same head with numerous shaft length/type and grip weights/styles to find the perfect combination when fitting and building your putter. Digital measurement gauges from Auditor including digital loft and lie machine, digital swingweight scale and shaft frequency analyser ensure your putter will be spec’d out precisely to ensure optimal performance.
